It worries me that for the last few weeks people were enraged over the National Defense Authorization Act and did everything to attempt to shut it down, speculated that Obama would veto it, then he doesn’t, it passes, and people are not really discussing it.
This went around Tumblr non-stop for weeks. Am I missing something major here?
Why are you worried? Raising awareness, not really doing anything and quickly forgetting about it are all legitimate forms of 21st century protest.
I mean, look at me: I’m protesting capitalism, racism, bigotry of lesbian, gays, bisexuals and transgenders and I’m doing all of this without missing a cat picture. It’s great life, not actually doing anything. And it’s totally the fad right now so you’ll look cool doing it.
