I just got a hold of Justice’s Audio, Video, Disco and it is fantastic. But just like Daft Punk going from Homework to Discovery, there’s going to be a lot of haters simply because this sounds nothing like anything Justice did before.
Also, and I don’t know if this is because the rip but, “Civilization” is quite a bit different from the single.

So I heard you still like the music in Drive…

Hey guys I heard you liked the music in Drive…
Putting down stupid, time-sucking video games for time being, I’ve been making a mixtape to practice my audio editing and mastering to, you know, develop skills worth a damn. The theme, modern songs that are reminiscent of 80’s synth-based soundtracks is a mixtape I would swear I started working on before I watched Drive if it wasn’t a lie.
This personal project has given me a new appreciation for the importance of good mastering and even the real reason why vinyl is so loved (people don’t like vinyl because they’re pretentious, they like it because the mastering and dynamic range of modern CDs and MP3s tends to be flat and complete shit). I’ve barely even scratched the surface of what it takes to master a song and I’m learning new things every day. That’s why I take up these little ideas.
And of course, being a perfectionist, not only is this mixtape taking much longer than it ever needed to, I also needed to make cover art for it. I can’t help but feel it looks more “90’s” than “80’s” as I continue to overthink things, but I dig it.
This is the best music video to expose the truth behind 9/11. If I had known Muse and Alex Jones were such good producers, I would have asked them to work on my new record.
— After years of debating 9/11 Truthers on how their “theories” hold as much water as a thimble, one song comes along to throw egg on my face and force me to eat crow.
